Chapter 1
Outside the hospital, Miya Bourbon glanced at the fresh bloodstain on her fingertip, a mocking and desolate smile playing on her lips.
After over a year of marriage, she had given all her tenderness but still couldn't win his heart.
Even when she fainted and ended up in the hospital, he didn't show up, not even a phone call.
What hurt even more was that he had his assistant deliver the divorce papers to the hospital.
The thought of it made Miya's heart ache.
She walked with heavy steps and weakly opened the taxi door.
Twenty minutes later, the car arrived at the entrance of a villa.
Miya looked through the glass window with a melancholic gaze before slowly getting out and walking in.
"Mrs. Lannister, how was your hospital check-up today? Is it a stomachache?" Joanna rushed over as soon as she saw Miya enter, concern evident in her voice.
Miya couldn't help but touch her lower abdomen and then placed her hand on her stomach.
She cleared her throat and replied softly, "Yes, my stomach isn't feeling well."
Joanna looked suspiciously at her actions and then glanced at the small package in her hand before continuing to ask, "Why didn't you get any medication then?"
As Miya walked upstairs, she answered, "A little dietary adjustment will do. Joanna, I'll go to my room first."
Joanna stood at the staircase, looking up as Miya disappeared into the corridor upstairs.
The servant next to her also glanced upstairs and whispered to Joanna, "Joanna, Mrs. Lannister doesn't look well. She was all smiles when she left in the morning. What happened?"
Joanna furrowed her brows and replied, "I feel the same way. Maybe it's an upset stomach?"
The servant asked, "Should we inform Mr. Lannister?"
Joanna paused and said, "Mr. Lannister might come back later. We'll talk about it then."
After spending half an hour upstairs, Miya stood at the bedroom door and suddenly looked at her slender fingers.
The diamond ring on her ring finger had emitted a happy glow during their wedding.
But now, it seemed unusually glaring.
Miya trembled as she took it off and threw it onto the corner cabinet.
She closed the door and walked downstairs while sending a message to her assistant, Giovanni Wilson: [Please inform Jensen to meet me at the Office of the County Clerk tomorrow morning at 9 am for paperwork. Don't be late.]
Joanna was still standing on the stairs, waiting for Miya. She noticed that Miya was carrying a suitcase and her eyes were red, looking even worse than before.
Joanna furrowed her brows and asked with concern, "Mrs. Lannister, it's already late in the evening. Where are you going?"
Miya tightened her grip on the suitcase handle and her gaze softened slightly. "Joanna, I'm leaving. Thank you for taking care of me for over a year."
"What? Mrs. Lannister, what do you mean?" Joanna's eyes widened, her voice filled with surprise and sadness.
Although Miya's relationship with Jensen Lannister had been distant since she married into the family, Joanna had never heard of them arguing or having any conflicts. Why was she leaving all of a sudden? Did they have a fight and she was temporarily leaving home?
Thinking of this, Joanna quickly stepped forward to stop Miya from leaving. "Mrs. Lannister, it's already late. Where are you going?"
Joanna knew Miya's family well. They were not the brightest bulbs, to say the least. And it seemed like the Bourbon Family didn't treat Miya with much affection either. Even if they did, it was only because they could benefit from her connection to the Lannister Family.
"Mrs. Lannister, did Mr. Lannister upset you? It's normal for young couples to argue and fight. Listen to me, don't be stubborn and leave home..."
"Joanna, thank you, but I really have to go."

Lannister Corporation.
Giovanni hung up the phone and entered the spacious office, respectfully reporting, "President Lannister, Villa di Mare e Monti called. They said Mrs. Lannister packed a few things and left."
Jensen's brow furrowed slightly, his eyes showing a hint of coldness. He asked in a cold voice, "What do you mean by 'a few things'?"
Giovanni paused for a moment and replied, "Just a few clothes and documents."
As he spoke, Giovanni took out the agreement from his briefcase and placed it lightly on the desk. "President Lannister, take a look. This is Mrs. Lannister's signature."
"Who gave you permission to continue calling her Mrs. Lannister?" Jensen's voice was neither high nor low, and it even had a hint of indifference, but it was extremely intimidating.
Upon hearing this, Giovanni immediately lowered his head and dared not speak again.
Jensen put down the work documents in his hand, took the agreement, and glanced at it before snorting coldly. "She wants nothing? Is she deliberately trying to embarrass me?"
She clearly coveted his wealth, so why was she playing these games at this moment?
He wanted more but was too embarrassed to ask, so he used the strategy of "Leave with nothing". Was it a tactic to catch Giovanni off guard?
Jensen bombarded Giovanni with a series of questions, trying to force the sweat out of him.
After much thought, Giovanni finally mustered up the courage to speak:
"President Lannister, I tried to contact Miss Miya today, but couldn't reach her, so I called Joanna instead. Joanna informed me that she went to the hospital this morning for a check-up. However, when I arrived at the hospital, she was lying on the emergency bed. The nurse said she fainted at the hospital."
Giovanni paused intentionally, observing Jensen's expression.
Jensen's tense jawline seemed to relax, but his forehead furrowed with confusion and worry.
Giovanni continued:
"I originally planned to give her the agreement after she returned from the hospital, but it seems like she already guessed my intentions. She asked me to bring out the agreement. I had no choice but to comply. However, after she wrote 'Leave with nothing' in her own handwriting and signed it, she bit her finger and used her blood as a stamp, President Lannister..."
Jensen's forehead creased even more upon hearing this.
Miya had always been gentle and mild-mannered. What was she doing? Was she defying him? Protesting?
He remembered that when he mentioned divorce during their phone call this morning, there was suddenly silence on the other end.
Wasn't that her way of being angry and refusing to respond?
Did she faint? Was that why he didn't hear her voice through the phone?
Jensen rubbed his forehead and asked, his voice hoarse and tinged with fatigue:
"Did she say anything?"
He scrutinized the red mark in the bottom right corner of the paper, finding it increasingly glaring.
Giovanni sadly shook his head and cautiously spoke again:
"President Lannister... there's another thing..."
"Speak!"
Giovanni hesitated for a moment, then unfolded the text message that Miya had sent him and placed it in front of Jensen.
Jensen read the contents of the message, and the veins on his forehead gradually bulged.
"Is she more anxious than me?"
Giovanni continued:
"Miss Miya said, 'Please don't be late.'"
Jensen pointed at the table with his finger:
"I'm not blind."
Nervously, Giovanni swallowed and said:
"I... I wanted to say that tomorrow morning is the time when Miss Tamsin's plane lands. You reminded me yesterday to remind you to pick her up."
Jensen slowly raised his arm, with the webbing of his hand pressed against his furrowed forehead. After rubbing it for a moment, he said:
"Then tell Miya to reschedule it for tomorrow afternoon. Do I need to teach you how to handle such a small matter?"
Chapter 2
Giovanni nodded, his fingers that were already curled tightened even more involuntarily.
Not only Miya, even a man would feel a chill in their heart after hearing those words.
Jensen's delay was not to slow down the divorce process, but because, no matter who saw it, Tamsin Hohenzollern was the woman in his heart and mind.
For Tamsin, he didn't even ask why Miya fainted just now, nor did he care where she took her simple luggage.
Even going to the Office of the County Clerk was prioritized based on Tamsin's schedule.
The more Giovanni thought about it, the more upset he felt, and he even felt sorry for Miya.
Although he didn't have much contact with Miya, and he was just an assistant.
But every time Miya saw him, she was always gentle, never acting superior, and never bossing around any of the household staff.
Such a beautiful and gentle woman was simply perfect.
But Jensen seemed uninterested.
Giovanni couldn't help but speak again:
"President Lannister, would you like to give Miss Miya a call? She looked very pale today, she..."
"Are you teaching me how to do my job?"
Before Giovanni could finish his sentence, Jensen interrupted him sharply.
He could only hang his head and keep his mouth tightly shut.

Miya, who had left Villa di Mare e Monti, hesitated for a long time on the street with her small travel bag.
She decided to go to her good friend Soraya Bush's place first.
When Soraya opened the door and met her gaze, Miya couldn't hold back her restrained tears anymore and they fell uncontrollably.
Soraya looked at Miya in front of her, and her heart clenched as well.
"What happened? What happened?! Did Jensen ignore you again? Or did he mock you?"
Soraya embraced her and walked into the house, anxiously asking.
Miya's trembling lips moved several times before she managed to squeeze out a few words:
"Soraya, I'm hungry."
"Alright, alright, I'll cook you a bowl of soup noodles. Let's eat first."
Soraya sat Miya down on the sofa and wiped her tears with a tissue before hurrying to the kitchen.
Just as Miya leaned back on the sofa, the ringtone in her bag suddenly rang.
Miya was slow to react, and the ringtone abruptly stopped.
Without taking it out to check, she knew it was a call from Jensen.
In the past, he would never have the patience to wait for the phone to stop ringing when he called her. If she didn't pick up within seconds, he would usually hang up immediately. When she called back, he either wouldn't answer or would do so with an extremely cold tone. Thinking about this, a mocking smile appeared on Miya's lips.
Not long after, Soraya placed a steaming bowl of soup in front of her. "Eat it on the coffee table, eat quickly," she said. Miya slowly took the fork that Soraya handed her, whether she was actually hungry or not, she had to eat properly. What could compare to the baby in her stomach right now?
Soraya sat silently on the side, watching Miya quickly eat the noodles, her heart aching like a knife. She had seen Miya cry before, but she had never seen her cry like she did today. The teary eyes were filled with heartbreaking sadness. When she brought out the noodles, in just a short moment, Miya's expression turned blank. Something big must have happened.
A few minutes later, Miya finished the last sip of soup, wiped her mouth lightly, and spoke in a very calm tone, "Soraya, I got a divorce, left with nothing. I no longer have to be like a servant, constantly trying to please him, nor do I have to let the Bourbon Family use me and Jensen's relationship, constantly begging Jensen for them. In short, Soraya, I am free now. Wish me luck."
"What?!" Soraya, who had been sitting down, stood up in astonishment. Ignoring her exaggerated reaction, Miya quickly took out today's check-up report from her bag and placed it on the coffee table, adding, "Also, I'm pregnant, two months along."
"What?!" Soraya exclaimed again in disbelief. "Miya, are you crazy?"
Trembling, Soraya picked up the ultrasound report and examined it closely. "You... let me process this. Divorce, left with nothing, and a baby on top of it. No, no, no, Miya, you're crazy. Jensen is even more of a jerk than I imagined. He's bullying you..."
"Soraya, calm down," Miya interrupted her calmly. "He proposed the divorce, left with nothing, and it was my choice. As for the child? Two months ago, he was drunk. When the topic of a child came up... he was probably completely clueless."
That night, he was drunk, drunk to a degree she didn't know.
But only that time, when he first kissed her, when they first made love.
And the next day, he was no longer by her side.
Afterwards, he was still the same distant person as before, as if nothing had happened between them that night.
She remembered, when they first got married, even though he didn't touch her, they still slept in the same bedroom, on the same bed.
But soon after, he started sleeping in the guest room most of the time, or in the study, or sometimes, he wouldn't come home at all...
"Soraya, his heart is not with me anymore. You are the only person I am close to now, and I hope you can understand and support my decision."
Miya's voice became increasingly calm, as if she was talking about a trivial matter.
But Soraya, with her temperament, couldn't understand Miya for a moment.
"I have always supported your decision to divorce, even when you wanted to marry him, I opposed it. Look at how you have been living for the past year."
"Others may not understand you, but we have been friends since childhood, how can I not understand? You always manage to speak of the greatest hardships with the lightest tone."
"It really annoys me. I support you in getting a divorce and raising the child alone, but 'leave with nothing', absolutely not. Why should you?"
"Tell me, did Tamsin come back? And then he kicked you out directly? I will settle this score for you! I will take care of this anger for you! Jensen and Tamsin can't get away with it so easily..."
"Soraya--"
Miya looked at Soraya, who was standing with her hands on her hips, her face full of anger, and softly interrupted her.
"Soraya, I'm tired, only you can understand me, right?"
Miya's voice choked a little when she said this, but it was only for a moment before the emotion disappeared.
"Soraya, I want to start my life anew. I don't want to hear a single word about him anymore, and you shouldn't go looking for him either. The agreement has been signed, go to the Office of the County Clerk tomorrow morning."
"But..." Soraya still wanted to argue with Miya.
"Soraya!"
Miya interrupted her again, her voice calm.
Soraya froze, carefully observing her for a while, and finally saw an immense determination in her eyes.
Soraya let out a deep sigh, flicked the ultrasound report with her fingertips, and said with a serious tone:
"Alright, alright, sigh, you are still the same as before, usually as gentle as water, but once you have made up your mind about something, there's no persuading you. I told you back then that I disagreed with the marriage, and you... well, forget it. What are your plans for the future? Just tell me if you need me to do anything."
Chapter 3
Miya fell silent for a moment before slowly speaking, "I don't want to go back to the Bourbon Family. I'll stay with you for one night and then go back to my own little apartment tomorrow. As for work..."
"I disagree. You're pregnant now, I can't let you live alone," Soraya interrupted her, staring at the small black shadow on the ultrasound image. She said softly, "This is the baby, it's amazing."
Soraya's face held a warm smile for a while before she continued, "How about this? From now on, you can live with me. As for work, you can resume your photography career. I told you that you shouldn't have given up on your own dreams, but you went and got married, listened to him, and became a full-time housewife..."
Miya was about to respond when her phone rang again in her bag. She made no move to retrieve it.
After waiting for a while, the music stopped and started again.
Only then did Miya take out her phone from her bag.
Soraya leaned over, her head close to Miya's, and asked, "Is it your fake mother again? Is she asking for money?"
Miya shook her head helplessly, a mocking smile playing at her lips.
Yes, her fake mother. Since learning the truth, she had confided in Soraya from the beginning.
About half a month ago, she had returned to her parents' home without notifying them.
At that time, her father, Lazarus Bourbon, and mother, Giselle Rodriguez, had their backs turned to her in the yard.
The content of their conversation shocked her to the core.
She wasn't Giselle's biological child, and when she was young, Giselle had even considered throwing her away.
It was that conversation that made her understand why she had never been treated well by Giselle all these years, why Giselle was like a wicked stepmother.
Perhaps because she was too heartbroken, she had no desire to continue listening to the rest of the conversation, such as who her real mother was if she wasn't Giselle's child.
Could it be that she wasn't Lazarus's child either? Although Lazarus treated her fairly well, he was a typical henpecked husband, never daring to say a word whenever Miya was punished.
If none of them were her parents, then who were her biological parents?
Afterwards, Miya regretted not listening to the rest.
Lost in her thoughts, Miya unconsciously tightened her grip on the phone, and her knuckles turned pale from the exertion.
The phone continued to ring incessantly, reminiscent of Giselle's sinister face.
Miya quickly slid the green button, her voice icy as she spoke.
"I'm divorced. Leave with nothing. From now on, I don't have anything you want."
As soon as Miya finished speaking, a loud voice came from the receiver, as if on speakerphone:
"What?! You're divorced? Leave with nothing? Have you lost your mind? Have you thought about how the Bourbon Family will live in the future? Go and apologize to Jensen and remarry immediately!"
Miya paused for a moment, her voice still calm:
"Without me, the Bourbon Family won't starve. I have something to do, so I'm hanging up."
Miya decisively hung up the phone.
Soraya opened her mouth wide, exclaiming:
"Miya, you finally stood up for yourself. Before, I always thought they were gender discriminatory, and I was angry. But since I found out that you weren't biologically related to the Bourbon Family, I became even angrier when I thought about how they treated you. And you, you kept letting them take advantage of and bully you. But now, the whole world is peaceful. From now on, take good care of yourself and wait for this little baby to be born. I'll help you raise him or her..."
After Soraya said a lot, she suddenly slowed down her speech speed and asked uncertainly:
"Since just now until now, I haven't had a chance to ask you, have you decided to keep this child? You don't have to worry about money, I'm here for you. But being a single mother is not easy, you need to think it through."
Miya took a moment to gather her thoughts, and a few strands of worry appeared in her absent-minded eyes. She trembled as she spoke:
"Soraya... I... I haven't decided yet. I'll think about it after the divorce proceedings are done."
Soraya gently held Miya's hand:
"Okay, I'll support whatever decision you make. If you encounter any difficulties, I'll be there for you."
"Um..." Miya choked up with gratitude.
The two embraced for a while, and Soraya got up briskly to organize Miya's luggage.
Miya stopped her:
"Soraya, I'll go back to the apartment. You have a light sleep, and I'll disturb your rest if I stay here."
Soraya waved her hand:
"It's okay. I don't feel comfortable letting you live alone in your current state. Listen to me."
Before Miya could speak again, Soraya had already taken the luggage to the guest room.
Miya sat back down, her body slumping. If she refused again, Soraya would get angry.
Miya averted her gaze and scrolled through her phone.
At that moment, it was indeed a call from Jensen, ringing for 5 seconds.
She slowly moved her fingers and opened an unread text message from Assistant Wilson.
It notified her that the time for her appointment at the Office of the County Clerk had been changed to the afternoon.
Miya snorted coldly.
Why did everything have to revolve around him?
Even the timing of her divorce proceedings had to be according to his schedule?
Miya's slender fingertips danced across the screen as she quickly edited a message and sent it back.
Just a few seconds after sending the message, Assistant Wilson called.
Miya immediately hung up.
Shortly after, Giovanni sent her another text message: {Miss Miya, President Lannister has something really important tomorrow. Can we reschedule for tomorrow afternoon?}
Miya: {No, we cannot.}
She turned off her phone after sending the message.
The next day, in order to arrive at the Office of the County Clerk on time, Miya arrived at the hospital shortly after 7 o'clock.
Yesterday, the doctor had instructed her to fast for several tests today.
While waiting in line, Jensen called her.
This time, Jensen kept calling, multiple times.
Miya couldn't be bothered to answer a single call.
Eventually, he sent her a text message: {Come to Lannister Corporation immediately. It's a matter of life and death.}
Miya held her phone, not understanding what was going on.
But her intuition told her that something was about to happen.
Half an hour later, the taxi Miya was in stopped at the towering Tranquil Towers.
Along the way, she started feeling more and more anxious.
After getting out of the car, she hurried towards Jensen's office.
When her anxious footsteps stood at the entrance of Jensen's office, she didn't hear anything unusual from inside.
Just as she hesitated, Giovanni's respectful voice came from behind her: "Mrs. Lannister, the president wants you to come in."
Miya turned her head slightly and looked at him calmly: "Just call me Miya."
Giovanni nodded with a complicated expression and still respectfully opened the door for her.
As Miya walked inside, she scanned the room.
Jensen was sitting at a large desk, seemingly working.
And next to him stood a young and beautiful woman, with chestnut-colored long curly hair cascading down to her waist.
Her face was adorned with exquisite makeup, radiating beauty and allure.
Her well-proportioned body occasionally swayed slightly, getting extremely close to Jensen, exuding an ambiguous atmosphere.
Although Miya had never seen Tamsin before, from her appearance, she didn't seem much different from what Miya had heard.
Miya's gaze swept over Tamsin and finally landed on Jensen's face: "President Lannister, may I ask what urgent matter you have?"
Was it because she had walked too lightly just now?
Only when she spoke did the two of them look up.
